Chrome Beta

A browser for testing what comes next

Chrome Beta is Google’s preview channel for Chrome on Android. It lets you use upcoming browser features before they reach the regular Chrome release, making it a fit for people who want an early look at changes rather than waiting for the standard version.

Who it suits

This edition is aimed at curious users, testers and developers who are comfortable with software that may still be under refinement. New features can be less polished than those in the main Chrome app, so it is better suited to experimentation than to anyone who wants the most settled browser experience.

Try features and share feedback

Chrome Beta provides a way to preview the latest additions to Chrome for Android and report what you think. Feedback from users can help Google identify problems and improve features before they become part of the broader Chrome experience. If you notice rough edges, unexpected behaviour or a change that works especially well, this is the channel built for that input.

Scale and standing

Developed by Google LLC, Chrome Beta is listed in the Productivity category and has more than 50,000,000 installs. Its average rating is 4.38 from 583,378 reviews, suggesting that many users are willing to run a preview build as part of their everyday Android setup. It can also be used alongside the regular Chrome app, allowing you to keep your usual browser while trying the beta separately.
