Chrome Dev

Chrome Dev for early browser testing

Chrome Dev is Google’s development channel for Chrome on Android. It is aimed at people who want to try browser changes before they reach the standard Chrome release, including developers, testers and curious users who are comfortable with unfinished work.

What it offers

The app provides a working Chrome browsing experience while exposing newer changes earlier in the release cycle. Some updates may still be rough or change over time, so it is better suited to testing and feedback than to users who want the most settled version of their browser.

• Try upcoming Chrome features and changes on Android.
• Use it for browser testing during development.
• Send feedback that can help shape later Chrome releases.
• Keep it alongside other Chrome channels when separate testing is useful.

Who should choose it

Chrome Dev fits developers checking how websites behave in a preview browser, users who like exploring new changes, and anyone willing to report problems while features are still being refined. If you prefer fewer surprises and a more established browsing environment, a regular Chrome channel may be a better address.
