Google Play Games

Google Play Games at a glance

Google Play Games is a gaming hub for Android players who want one place to discover games, track progress and manage achievements. It suits casual players looking for quick entertainment as well as regular gamers who want their activity connected to a Google account. The app is developed by Google LLC and listed in the Entertainment category.

Find and start games

The app helps you browse for new games across different styles, including action and puzzle titles. Supported games may offer Instant play, allowing you to try the game without a full installation. It also includes built-in games such as Solitaire, Minesweeper, Snake, PAC-MAN, Cricket and Whirlybird, with some available for offline play.

Keep your progress organised

When supported, game progress is saved to the cloud, so you can continue from another device after signing in with the same account. A gamer profile gives you a player identity, while achievements and experience points record your activity and let you level up over time. These tools are useful if you move between devices or like keeping a record of completed challenges.

Useful extras and reach

Google Play Games also supports gameplay recording, making it possible to capture and share selected gaming moments. The app has a 3.99-star rating from more than 13.2 million reviews and records 5 billion-plus installs. Those figures reflect its broad role as a standard gaming companion for Android users, rather than a service focused on one particular game or genre.
