Google Drive

Cloud files for Android users

Google Drive is a cloud storage and file management app for keeping documents, images, videos, PDFs and other files available across devices. It suits people who already use Google services, as well as anyone who needs a central place to organise work, school files or personal paperwork. Files can be arranged in folders, opened from a phone or tablet, and shared with other people.

Find, view and work with files

Drive supports a broad range of file types, including Microsoft Office documents and PDFs. Its search tools can look through file names and content, with filters that help narrow results by type or activity. The app also connects with Google’s document, spreadsheet and presentation tools, making it possible to move from storing a file to editing or collaborating on it.

• Share files with selected people and manage their access.
• Review recent files and activity from the mobile interface.
• Scan paper documents with the phone’s camera.
• Use supported files when an internet connection is not available.

Useful for shared work and everyday storage

Drive is a practical choice for teams, students and households that need shared folders or simple file hand-offs. Permission controls help distinguish between people who can view, comment on or edit a file. Larger screens provide more room for browsing and multitasking, while the Android app keeps the main actions close at hand on a phone.
